For this to take place, it is essential that teachers are well trained and committed to tutorial work, which will undoubtedly be conditioned by the environment in which it is carried out. This text delves into the conceptualization and importance of tutoring, seeks to analyze the current training of tutors and gives an example of the way in which the environment influences the reality of tutorial action. Thus, it details how this is developed in the rural area of northwestern Asturias, including the influence that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the way of understanding and carrying out tutoring.
