SHE LOATHES HIM. HE WANTS HER. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN HATE TURNS TO RESPECT AND DESIRE TURNS TO LOVE? When an oil company hires renowned Canadian archaeologist Jack O'Malley and his new wife, Anne, to do a survey on the North Slope of Alaska, Anne and Jack's goal is simple: They will complete the contract, but they hope to unearth a find of international importance that will keep the US government from opening the North Slope to oil exploration and drilling. The previous archaeologist disappeared, leaving no clues to his fate. What Anne and Jack don't know is that their company liaison, Hal Josephs, is a professional killer, tasked with making sure they find nothing. But they do, and so they must fight for their lives. From the North Slope to Ottawa, Canada, to Jack's Inuit village and the frozen tundra of northern Quebec, Hal pursues them. Can Anne save Jack's life? Can she save her own? And ultimately, will she save the life of the man who has sworn to kill her? Again, Hal paused. "A kiss is too personal, isn't it? I won't force that on you...." He sighed deeply, moved his hand, and caressed my cheek gently. "Ah, Anne, how I wish things were different." Again, he hesitated. Then his expression changed. "Well, things aren't different. They're what they are." TWENTY-SIX ESKIMO WORDS is a compelling adventure that tests the bonds of love and the nature of forgiveness while providing insight into the will to survive. This second book in the Anne O'Malley series is one you won't want to miss!Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
