Understaning how women feel about themselves, their roles, their values and the opportunities they have in life according to the culture they live in is very important for the process of development. This can not be comprehended without analyzing social change--a continuous process occuring throughout history. The process of social change discussed focuses on the transformation of the streotyped image of women as a second class citizen who can not be productive.
