Marisa Agostini is a retired educator and an Italian-born immigrant who has always related to and had an appreciation for the Indigenous People of Canada. As a teacher for both Catholic and public school boards in Ontario, she encouraged her students to pursue their education and never forget their rich cultural background. Her students included a number of Indigenous youths. Marisa lives in Toronto, where she enjoys promoting her culture and spending time with her seven grandchildren. Her first book, My Grandchildren and Me, was published in 2023 and explores her cultural journey and her loving relationship with her grandchildren.
