Two Stones is a Christian children's story about a little girl who every day goes for a walk along the ocean's shoreline. While she walks, she makes the good choice of picking up God's creatures who have lingered too long on the shore: she picks them up and tosses them gently back into the ocean to a place they call home. But one day, God gives her a test of her faith and her good resolve to spare his creatures. He places a gift of two stones on the shore for her to find. There, she sees a stone almost as clear as glass nestled beside another smooth and dark. She is fascinated by them both.…mehr

She is fascinated by them both. She cannot decide which to keep, so she tucks each one into their own individual pocket in her pinafore, As she goes about her usual manner, she finds herself feeling the smoothness of the stones in her pocket. Soon, the stones show that they have their own secret powers. When she has the clear stone in her hand, she finds herself following through on good choices and helping the creatures. When she has the dark stone in her hand, she finds it consumes her with thoughts and feelings that are unkind. It takes a few attempts before she realizes what is happening. And when she does, she has to make a decision that challenges her to make things right for a creature she has harmed, and with God. This book is written to teach children to concentrate on the choices they make; to take responsibility for those choices, and if a wrong choice was made, to follow through with asking for forgiveness. It is written with a simple and delightful approach while teaching faith, trust, and the importance of developing a relationship with God. Written by creative faith-based short story writer for Young Adult, this author invites readers of a younger age to sit beside a beloved, trusted reader, and enjoy a good story.
