On launchday, Nautilus was towed to the art installation M/S Half Machine and further prepared. In August, Nautilus could sail on its own, as steering and one of the two diesel engines were built in. On the first real trip on their own, the submarine was sailed by a group of people, and nearly all of them, was related to the Royal Danish Navy submarinedivision, which is closed now They were to sail the submarine and evaluate her maneuverability, in which they gave a positive criticism.
