High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Uchhali is a saltwater lake in Soan Sakaser Valley in the southern Salt Range area in Pakistan. This lake is formed due to the absence of drainage in the range. Sakaser, the highest mountain in the Salt Range at 1,522 metres (4,990 ft), looms over the lake. Due to its brackish water the lake is lifeless, but offers picturesque scenery. Nowadays boats are also available for boating. Soon Sakaser is a valley situated in northern Punjab, Pakistan. Soon is a Sanskrit word meaning beautiful. Sakaser is compound of Saki and sar. Saki related to Sakia or Buddha and sar is pond. Below this mountain, Uchhali Lake is also called saki mani Gotem ( Buddha's) pond. Soan Sakaser is situated on the juncture Mianwali, Khushab and Chakwal districts. On the north of this valley is Tehsil Tala Gang's area Pakhar, on the east side is tehsil Chakwal's area Venhar ,on the south side hilly area of tehsil Khushab, and on east side, Mianwal tehsil are situated.
