The UDA South East Antrim Brigade is one of the six paramilitaries of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA). It operates in County Antrim, including the cities of Belfast, Larne, Ballymena and Antrim. The Guardian has identified it as "one of the most dangerous factions". The Irish News described the brigade as ''powerful'' and at one time being ''the most bloody and murderous gang operating within the paramilitary organisation''. During the height of the brigades activity it was led by John ''Grug'' Gregg, who was responsible for the attempted assassination of Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams in 1984, in which Adams was wounded. Members of Johnny "Mad Dog" Adair''s C-Company group shot and killed Gregg in 2003 during an internal UDA feud.
