Domestic routes, too, had been reduced to those between Entebbe Airport and the airfields at Arua and Kasese. Several local, regional and international firms expressed an interest in taking over Uganda Airlines upon privatisation, but later pulled out, leaving only South African Airways (SAA), which also backed out.
