By the end of 2011, Seoul City plans to build a 11.4km (7.1 mile) Light Rapid Transit line from Ui-dong to Sinseol Dong in northern Seoul. The line is expected to carry 110,000 passengers a day and will have 13 stations. It will connect to Line 4 at Sungshin Women''s University, Line 6 at Bomun and Line 1 & 2 at Sinseol Dong. The last (northernmost) station will be in Ui-dong (pronounced, approximately, like Ooh-Ee)--hence the name of the line. The line is under construction from September 10, 2009 to end of 2014. The line will us a dedicated fleet of trains built by Rotem, a member of Hyundai Motor Group. The fleet is a 2 car train.
