High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Uijeongbu LRT Project is light rail line currently under construction in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, to the north of Seoul. Upon completion in 2011, it will connect to the Seoul Metropolitan Subway. It will run in roughly a semicircle, linking eastern Uijeongbu with the center of the city and the subway. The line is 10.6Km long to be on elevated track and pass through 15 stations. It will offer a transfer to Line 1 at Uijeongbu and Hoeryong Stations. The line will be used a fully automatic VAL system built by Siemens Transportation Systems. STS will manufacture 15 two-unit Val 208 vehicles which will have rubber-tyre.
