Three warriors (Jeong Jung-bu,Yi Ui-bang, Yi Go, and others, started a military revolt, murdering the civil officials, deposing Emperor Uijong, and appointing a new Emperor in his place. He was preceded by Injong and succeeded by Myeongjong.
