Ujar (Ucar) is a rayon, or administrative district of Azerbaijan, situated to the south of Goycay, in the centre of the nation. This region contains the Ipek yolu Automobil line and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline to the south of the Shirvan plain. There are 32 villages and 1 town in Ucar. The largest communities are Qazyan, Müsüslü and Qarabörk. This rayon has a population of more than 70,000 people, consisting of Azeris (99.7%). Azerbaijan , formally the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijani: Az rbaycan Respublikas ), is a country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia. Located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, it is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the east, Russia to the north, Georgia to the northwest, Armenia to the west, and Iran to the south. The exclave of Nakhichevan is bounded by Armenia to the north and east, Iran to the south and west, while having a short borderline with Turkey to the northwest.
