This study aims to evaluate newly labeled compounds that were used as a tracer for ulcerative colitis and stomach ulcer imaging like [99mTc]pantoprazole, [99mTc]omeprazole, [99mTc]rabeprazole, [125I] iodofamotidine, [125I]iodoomeprazole ,[131I]iodorabeprazole [99mTc] mesalamine,[99mTc-olsalazine], and [125I]iodomesalamine. That was labeled with [125I] or [99mTc]. Factors such as the amount of oxidizing agent, amount of reducing agent, amount of substrate, pH, reaction temperature and reaction time, have been systematically studied to optimize the labeling process. The labeled compound was separated and purified using thin layer chromatography (TLC), paper electrophoreses and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The biological distribution indicated that the labeled compounds may be considered a highly selective radiotracer for ulcerative colitis and peptic ulcer imaging that was cofirmed by gamma camera.
