Look out for the clean energy technology which can restrict the environmental pollution from automobiles with conventional fuels has led to the rise of Electric Vehicles Empire to play a leading dynamic role in overcoming fuel exhaustion and environmental pollution for the sustainable development of human society. To satisfy the demand for energy and power density of EV, research is essential to tackle major obstacles like price & robustness to make it at the commercial platform. The book is an attempt towards developing a novel Hybrid Energy Storage System and its efficient energy management scheme using efficient control and new optimization scheme that will manage the sharing of energy between the primary energy storage device and its complementary energy storage device Ultracapacitor, demanded by the Electric Vehicle. The development of a novel HESS was checked for Ultracapacitor & Battery and another as Ultracapacitor & Fuel Cell, as energy storage devices while new optimal energy management scheme is achieved by Hybrid Optimization Algorithm which uses Fuzzy and Whale Optimization to maintain constant high voltage and optimal State of Charge of the energy storage device.
