Dr. Valiev is Professor and Director of the Institute of Physics of Advanced Materials at Ufa University of Science and Technology. He is also Leading Research Scientist for the Laboratory of Dynamics and Extreme Characteristics of Promising Nanostructured Materials at Saint Petersburg State University (Russia). Dr. Igor V. Alexandrov is Professor of the Department of Materials Science and Physics of Metals (Russia)  Dr. Kawasaki works at Oregon State University, USA. Dr. Langdon is a member of the Materials Research Group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southampton with an emeritus appointment at the University of Southern California.
