Autorenporträt
Dr. Susanta Kumar Sahoo is a Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India since 2008. He has been awarded Ph.D. from Utkal University, Orissa, India in 2000. He also carried out his Post-Doctoral research in Loughborough University, UK in 2004. He is well recognized in the field of solid state welding for lightweight materials for about the last 10 years. He has 27 years of teaching experience and has published numerous technical papers in national and international journals (89 no's) as well as international conference proceedings (87 no's). He has guided 15 Ph.D. and 29 M.Tech. theses and contributed for 8 book chapters. He is conferred with young scientist award by Odisha science Academy, Best teacher award by Indian society of Technical Education and numerous awards by IE (India) for his valuable contribution to the technical education and research. His areas of interest are advanced manufacturing process, welding technology, metal forming process and advanced machining process. Dr. Mantra Prasad Satpathy is currently serving as an Assistant professor in School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar. He has specialized himself in the field of "Materials Joining" and 4 years of teaching and research experience. He has completed his Ph.D. on "Ultrasonic spot welding of dissimilar metals" in 2017 from National Institute of Technology Rourkela, India. He has guided 1 PG project, and 1 PhD is going on under his supervision in Ultrasonic Spot Welding field. Dr. Satpathy conferred with "Sankarsan Jena Memorial Award" and "Ganesh Mishra Memorial Award" from IEI, India for his outstanding contribution in the joining field. He has published 21 technical papers in international journals as well as 23 international conference proceedings. His areas of interest include simulation and modelling of advanced manufacturing process, welding technology, metal forming process and advanced machining process.
