Autorenporträt

Emmy Arnold (1884–1980) nació en Riga, Latvia, y se mudó a Alemania cuando tenía seis años. Junto con su esposo Eberhard Arnold, fundó la comunidad Bruderhof en 1920. Después de la muerte de su esposo en 1935, migró de país en país junto con su comunidad anabaptista: a Inglaterra, Paraguay, y luego Estados Unidos, donde pasó sus últimos veinte años.
