Colabora en el ministerio de mujeres de su iglesia local y también con Coalición por el Evangelio y Aviva Nuestros Corazones. Nacida en Cuba, ahora vive en Miami, Florida. Wendy está casada con Abel y tienen dos hijos adolescentes. Cuenta con una Maestría en Estudios Teológicos de Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
