This book explores the issues surrounding the best interests of the child in relation to unaccompanied minor migrants in Europe. It draws on anthropology and social science methodologies as well as law in order to analyse examine the legal framework and practices related to UAM in the reception, protection, asylum and return procedures and conditions in selected EU countries.
