John Steakley is the founder of Unbound Grace Ministries, a guidance and counseling group specializing in addiction and mental health recovery through focusing on connection and spiritual health. John was born in Dallas, Texas, grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and has lived in Birmingham, Alabama, since 2005. A graduate of the University of Alabama and Beeson Divinity School, he turned the challenges of his own addiction into a lifeline for others by founding Unbound Grace in 2018.For over a decade, John served on staff as a pastor in Birmingham, but it's in his current role as a pastoral counselor that he's found his calling: guiding souls through the wilderness of addiction and toward hope and healing. His unique blend of spiritual guidance, evidence-based therapy, and real-world application has touched countless lives.Married with two lively daughters (and a dog named Bear), John is a living testament that transformation is attainable through God's grace.
