Autorenporträt

Alyssa Sierra (she/her/they/them) is a queer, fat, femme poet from Stockton, California. Alyssa is an alumni of the W.O.W Youth Poetry Collective and was the 2010 Stockton All-City Slam Champion. They were also a competing poet at the Brave New Voices international youth poetry slam from 2009-2012. Alyssa is currently teaching high school English in her hometown to the young people in the city that raised them. Alyssa's work has been used in projects with Stockton Creative Community Healing Arts Initiative (CHAI), UC San Diego's Women's Day Summit, Youth Speaks Speak Green, The Robert Redford Center, The Kennedy Center, U.S. Greenbuild, and the Center for Investigative Reporting.
