Chapter III deals with issues of private international law, namely the determination of the law applicable to international commercial contracts, whether chosen or not by the parties. Reference is made to the texts prepared by the Hague Conference on Private International Law, specifically the HCCH Principles on Choice of Law in International Commercial Contracts. Chapter IV deals with the uniform law of international sales, discussing in particular the provisions of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the Convention on the Limitation Period in the International Sale of Goods and the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, and their interaction. Chapter IV also contains a reference to regional uniform texts and to model contracts based on uniform texts. Chapter V contains a summary of recurring legal issues that arise frequently in connection with sales contracts and how they are addressed in uniform law instruments.
