LE Van Veen lives with her husband and three dogs off the coast of North Carolina, although she spends a good deal of time lost in fictional lands. She has enjoyed stories set in different worlds for as long as she can remember and has long dreamed of building her own. After studying Creative Writing at UNC Wilmington, she began work on her debut novel, Under Cold Moons, an upper young adult fantasy novel inspired by years spent dreaming.
