Five entertaining short stories, supplemented by dozens of fun activities, allow educators, counselors, and parents to teach kids in grades K-5 these essential life skills: managing stress, using whole-body listening, resolving conflict, expressing empathy, and making friends. The stories feature rhyming text and adorable characters who embody and bring to life each skill. The corresponding activities support further skill development and academic growth by allowing kids to explore art, movement, science and technology, writing, math, music, coloring, and structured group discussion. Activities can be modified according to learning styles and individual needs. In addition, they can be blended into existing lesson plans or used as stand-alone lessons. A special code allows users to display or download a printable, color PDF student version of the stories as well as additional worksheets, answer keys, and handouts.
