3D reconstruction work is very difficult and very interesting topic. Various methods are available for the reconstruction of images. In the proposed work SURF, Epipolar Geometry and Gradient Field is used for the reconstruction purpose. To build up a 3D-reconstruction of the underwater images initially images sets were extracted. After that the points whose intensity is changing are removed by the outstanding Speed Up Robust Feature (SURF) calculation, which is invariant to scale, interpretation, and pivot. Then Epipolar geometry is applied where fundamental matrix is used to obtain the 3D points. Using Gradient Field and X, Y and Z point cloud the 3D appearance of the coral reef images is built. Here the report mainly concentrates on 3D modelling approach, utilizing a feature detection technique called SURF. SURF is an element locator which is known to be strong and is been looked into and examined increasingly for question acknowledgment issues and 3D reconstruction issues.
