Having a great love of animals and of course dogs in particular, I have spent the last 35 years working as a dog trainer. During my lifetime, I have had ten dogs of my own; however, I have also trained over 300 owners and their dogs. Along the way I have gained a huge amount of experience in what works and what doesn't and it is this experience that is at the heart of this book. My training method establishes a way of communicating with your dog so that he knows what is expected of him and so that he feels safe with you. With such training, he will return to you when you want him to and he will walk by your side without straining on his leash. My dogs are much admired when I am out and about with them! I enjoy explaining how and why they have been trained in the way that I train them. I wish you every success in learning how to train your dog so that he too is a joy to have around.
