I have designed this book to help introduce the computer world to the person (you) who is beginning to learn about computers in a simple and easy to understand lingo. I start off simple, slow and easy as we start off with history of computers and then migrate into the computer world and easily cover hardware, software, networking, troubleshooting (command line tools), Office, Email, Understanding Terms. This book is built on repetition at many different angles to help ensure you are able to pick up the concept. As an Instructor; I have found over the years that when it comes to learning a new subject matter such as computers the best way to learn that material is to watch it be done, read about it and then also do it yourself.. But it has to make sence as you read it and that's how I've written this book - In simple and easy to relate to terms. Lastly the glue to this new knowledge is repetition, repetition, repetition so I've included learning checks and labs throughout the book to help you. So please enjoy reading this book and make sure to practice, practice, practice what you are learning.

My name is Chris Anderson. I currently live near Sacramento California with my family. My education consists of many things. I'm currently working on my Masters of Science Degree in Information Technology & Management. I already have my Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology as well as two Associate Degrees; one in Electronic Engineering Technology and the other in Information Technology as well as many industry certifications. Having been involved with the electronic industry since 1991, I've worked directly in the electronics industry for a number of companies and a Fortune 25 Electronic Company. Currently I'm an instructor at Asher College in Sacramento California. I have a real passion for helping others to learn this computer field (after all no one was born with this information.. so we've all had to learn it and some one had to teach it to the next generation.. That's what I'm doing now and with this book). With all that said I believe that I have enough Education, Knowledge and Information combined to effectively write this book and deliver to you the educational material that will truly help you... without all the extra fluff and in simple to understand examples and terms. Thank you for taking your time to read this.
