Pereira is the Director of the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center and a Professor of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University, USA. He is also a Visiting Professor at the School of Global Affairs at King's College London (UK) and a senior fellow at Canning House (UK).
