Autorenporträt
Julaine E. Field is an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Development at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Field is a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and currently works at a crisis shelter that serves victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Her previous counseling experience includes working as a school counselor, mental health counselor, college counselor, and in private practice. She teaches graduate courses in the areas of group counseling, youth counseling, human sexuality, and courses related to school counseling. Field obtained her doctorate at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She has authored publications related to counselor advocacy, gender identity, and relational and social aggression and has presented at international, national, and state conferences. She is involved in various women's initiatives on her campus and in the surrounding community.
