We must subordinate ourselves to Nature, of whom we have never ceased to belong. This is the life of our species, which has managed to venture into outer space and search for other forms of life that are similar. To do so, we have had to scrupulously comply with natural laws, and in that sense applied science, technology and a wide variety of techniques conceived over thousands of years have served us well. But understanding Nature requires we delve deeply into another immense and indeterminate space. I am referring to the human spirit that the great artists have understood and interpreted together with the great scientists. Both show us the way to attain the necessary wisdom to continue living in peace, with happiness and harmony with Nature. The great question lies in the depths of the consciousness of human beings. So, in addition to projecting ourselves into the cosmos, we must make an exciting journey within ourselves.I could almost affirm that aesthetics illuminates us with the light of the stars and ethics is the great lesson given to us by our conscience regarding how we should be and act with respect to the very Nature that includes other men and other beings.
