This could reduce the rate of morbidity and mortality from liver disease and the complication of its surgical treatment. This book demonstrates that the basic biochemical markers of liver diseases include variable elevations of serum bilirubin, liver enzymesand tumour markers such as alpha faetoprotein, and variable reductions in serum albumin, total protein, among others as well as appearance of some serological markers.

Born on October 3, 1965 in Akuyam, Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi State, north-eastern Nigeria. Obtained Ph.D. (Chemical Pathology) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 2005. Joint the services of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 1994 as Graduate Assistant and rose to the rank of Professor and Chief Consultant in 2014
