Autorenporträt
Kelvin Hughes is a leading authority on construction contracts and has had substantial theoretical and practical experience of all contracts, including NEC, JCT and FIDIC, over a 49-year working life, including four years as a full-time consultant to a major project management company drafting a suite of contracts for use on public projects in Qatar, and was also head of contracts/claims for another major project management company in Qatar. He has written eleven previous practical books on construction contracts. Patrick Waterhouse is an adjudicator and consultant specialising in NEC, JCT, IChemE, ACE and PFI contracts. He advises clients on disputes and contract issues in construction and engineering. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, an Accredited Mediator and an Adjudicator for disputes under construction contracts. Patrick is on the panels of adjudicators of The Institution of Civil Engineers, The Institution of Chemical Engineers, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, The Technology and Construction Solicitors' Association, the Royal Institute of British Architects, The Association for Consultancy and Engineering and the Construction Industry Council. He is also on the ICE's Register of Mediators/Conciliators. He delivers a range of training courses in the areas of NEC, JCT and PFI contracts, contract law and commercial practice. He is a tutor for the NEC4 and NEC3 Project Manager, Supervisor and Service Manager Accreditation Programmes.
