Autorenporträt
Beverly Mayne Kienzle, Ph.D., a retired Harvard Divinity School professor, has published numerous scholarly articles and books, including five on the medieval visionary, Hildegard of Bingen. Beverly is a granddaughter of Virginia Cary Hudson Cleveland (1894-1954), the author of O Ye Jigs & Juleps! (April 1962), a New York Times best seller for 66 weeks. Dr. Kienzle grew up surrounded by manuscripts as her mother tirelessly completed the publication of four volumes of Virginia Cary Hudson's writings. In 2016 Beverly published a delightful authoritative biography of her grandmother: Virginia Cary Hudson, The Jigs & Juleps! Girl: Her Life & Writings. After Unfinished Business, Beverly will publish other selected works by her grandmother. Virginia's lively spirit pervades all her writings, as she reveals her acute and humorous observations of humankind.
