Francis Nah Kateh, MD, MHA, MPS/HSL, FLCP is a Clinician, Health Administrator, an expert in Health Policy and Homeland Security with an emphasis on Biological Weapons of Mass Destruction. Dr. Kateh served as head of surgery and chief medical officer of Ganta United Methodist Hospital, Ganta, Nimba County, Liberia (1997-2001); the first African Public Health Director in Anson County, North Carolina (2004- 2010); the Chief Executive Officer/Medical Director of Jackson F. Doe Memorial Regional Referral Hospital, Tappita, Nimba County, Liberia (2011-2015), Deputy Incident Manager, Medical/Planning- Ebola Response (2014-2015); Chief Medical Officer/Deputy Minister for Health Services, Republic of Liberia (2015-2024), Deputy Incident Manager, Medical/ Planning- Covid-19 Response (2020-2022) and serving now as Director of African Region- AreemPlus, Dubai, UAE. Dr Kateh is a recipient of the Distinguished Young Alumni Award (2001) and Distinguished Alumni Award for the Millennium- MacMurray College (2000); an Honorary Doctorate in Public Service, MacMurray College (2016). He received many other awards for his commitment to public service. He is married with seven children (three males and four females).
