E. David Cronon, emeritus professor of history and former Letters and Science dean, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has been associated with the University since 1948. His numerous books and articles explore economic and political issues in twentieth-century American history. John W. Jenkins is the researcher for the University History Project of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
