Autorenporträt
NANCY L. ZIMPHER is President of the University of Cincinnati. She also served as Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and as Dean of the College of Education and Executive Dean of the Professional Colleges at Ohio State University, Columbus. She served as president of the Holmes Partnership from 1996-2001 and co-coordinator of the U.S. Secretary of Education's National Summit on Teacher Quality in 2000. She is the recipient of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education's Edward C. Pomeroy Award for Ouytstanding Contributions to Teacher Education. She currently chairs the Commission on International Programs for the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. KENNETH R. HOWEY is Research Professor in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. He was also Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where he coordinated the Teacher in Residence Program. He was the principal investigator for the longest running study of teacher education in the United States. He directed the national reform consortium, the Urban Network to Improve Teacher Education (UNITE). He is the author of several books and articles on teacher education. Dr. Howey is the recipient of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education's highest award for distinguished contributions to teacher education thoughout a career.
