In recent decades, the demand for higher education in Brazil has increased significantly, resulting in a growth in the number of institutions offering this level of education, with repercussions on the need to recruit new teachers and improve their qualifications to meet the challenges of teaching and learning in the complex scenario we live in. The text in question presents elements that allow us to characterise the scenario of complexity in the Brazilian reality, pointing to future possibilities for university teaching in this context.

Graduated in Pedagogy. Specialisation in Clinical and Institutional Psychopedagogy. Master's in Education - URI. She has experience in teaching, Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS), vocational education and school management. She is the pedagogical coordinator of SENAC-Erechim/RS.
