On the basis of new archival and other documentary materials the author covers and highlights exactly the forced movement of several thousand inhabitants from the zone of special regime which took place in 1948. However the Soviet history used to practice the deportation inside the state in relation to separate social groups of people and to all people. As far back as in the twenties of the twentieth century the USSR began to deport the undesirable social elements to Northern districts. Mass deportations developed in the thirties. In the period of collectivization thousands of peasant families declared as kulak families, were moved out of the districts to Northern Ural, to Western Siberia. In the next years similar practice was continued. I dedicate this book to my grandfather, Ibragim Karimov, and to all those who suffered in the Chelyabinsk Region from the forced deportation of 1948 year.
