The inexplicable becomes understandable when a person, with the help of science, can identify the causes of certain events, facts, when he seeks to understand complex and as if incomprehensible phenomena. But gradually phenomena of world around become clear when causal connections of the phenomena and events of world around are realized. Everything in nature is rigidly linked by causality and regularities. And reduction of the phenomena of the nature to their reasons and laws of existence is an explanation - the main and defining cognitive procedure in sciences about the nature. The sciences of spirit, on the contrary, deal with a subject not external but internal to us. The phenomena of the spirit are given to us directly, we experience them as our own, deeply personal. Therefore, human affairs are not so much a matter of explanation as of understanding. That is, such an informative procedure in which we can, as if put ourselves in the place of another and "from within" feel andexperience some historical event, "revelation from above" or aesthetic delight. In this case, human life is not reduced to rational principles. There is always room for irrational - impulses and movements of the soul.
