Autorenporträt
Tracy-LeeMy motivation for writing this book comes from a deep love and profound bond that I have with my pets. My dog Axel is a very special "person" with a multitude of endearing personalities. When life gets me down, his unconditional love is where I find great comfort. I have greatly enjoyed the process of writing. With a Fine Arts degree, I am finding this new artistic medium very rewarding. It allows me a certain creativity that is endless and exciting. Writing this crazy yet heartfelt story about five passionate, determined dog toys has allowed me infinite freedom. I have used my vivid imagination to animate Axel's favourite chew-toy friends. Jack KaiserWhen Tracy-Lee asked if I'd help illustrate her new book, I didn't hesitate. The opportunity provided a real challenge to bring the wonderful characters in her story to life. I hope readers will enjoy following these characters through their adventures as much as I enjoyed bringing them to life. A life-long love of art drove me to dabble in oils, watercolor, acrylics, stained glass, and pen and ink over the years-mostly in realistic landscapes. A chemical engineer by profession, that career provided the opportunity to see much of the world, which provided material for my art. It's only since retiring from that profession 15 years ago that I've had time to finally pursue art more seriously. In addition to art, I also enjoy gardening, volunteer work, and playing with my baby grand.
