Vladimir I. Trukhachev is the Rector of the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy (Moscow, Russia), one of the leading agricultural university in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe. Prof. Trukhachev has published more than 650 scholarly papers in peer-reviewed journals and 41 monographs on such topics as agricultural production, agrarian economy, innovation and advanced technology in agriculture. He has 62 patents for inventions, 13 copyright certificates of the State Commission of the Russian Federation for testing and protection of breeding achievements, and 23 certificates for state registered computer programs. Prof. Trukhachev was named the Honored Worker of Science of Russia in 2008 and became the Laureate of the Prize of the Government of Russia in Science and Technology in 2020.
