Christian Skoorsmith is an award-winning mental health professional and elite hypnotist in Seattle, Washington. He is Board Certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH) and the International Association of Hypnosis Professionals (IAHP). In 2023 he was inducted as a Fellow of the NGH, a distinction fewer than one quarter of 1% of hypnotists achieve. The highest-rated hypnotherapist in the Seattle area, Christian has also been among the 'Top Three Hypnotherapists in Seattle' every year since 2019. In 2023, The Seattle Times described him as 'the best alternative therapy in the Pacific Northwest.' In addition to a Masters degree in Religion, he has earned post-graduate certificates in Jungian Psychotherapy, Systemic Sandplay Therapy, and Clinical Supervision. Known for a dynamic speaking style, cutting edge topics, and evidence-based content, he is a popular presenter on hypnosis across North America, Europe, and Australia, and featured faculty annually at conferences around the United States. Christian is a prolific writer, contributing regularly to two professional hypnosis journals, and the author of several books and training curricula on hypnosis. In 2021 he was given the IAHP 'Science' award for evidence-based work in hypnosis, and the NGH recognized his pioneering work in hypnosis for tinnitus with the 'Hypnotism Research Award' in 2022.
