Marie Hartwell-Walker, EdD, is licensed in Massachusetts as both a psychologist and marriage and family therapist. She has a master's degree in counseling psychology from the Alfred Adler Institute of Chicago and a Masters and a Doctoral Degree from the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has authored numerous articles on psychology, parenting, and family life. Currently, she is a feature writer and advice columnist for psychcentral.com and authors a blog on the divorce page of the Huffington Post.Foreword writer John M.
