A native of Big Sky country, Wayne Edwards spent his 30-plus-year banking career in his hometown of Denton, a rural small town located in the heart of Montana's expansive wheat and cattle country. Edwards began writing upon his retirement in 2019 and published both a children's book (Buster the Bridger Mountain Bear) and a fictional novel (Pacer Coulee Chronicles) in 2021. Changing genres yet again, Edwards released the long-anticipated and heartwarming young adult story (A Stone's Throw) in the spring of 2024. Wayne and Lorinda, his wife of 49 years, spend their time between their homes in Bozeman, Montana, and Cave Creek, Arizona, surrounded by their children and grandchildren.
