This website, spanning more than 3,500 pages, is regarded as the definitive resource relating to the playwright and his plays. He is a professional writer whose articles relating to Alan Ayckbourn have been published extensively around the world. This includes writing for the world, West End and New York premieres of Alan Ayckbourn's plays as well as for venues and events ranging from the National Theatre to the Edinburgh International Festival. Simon has been working with the Ayckbourn Archive since 2005 and oversaw the transfer of the archive to the Borthwick Institute at the University of York in 2011 following its acquisition for the nation. He has worked extensively with the Stephen Joseph Theatre since 1999 in a variety of roles. Unseen Ayckbourn was named as one of The Stage's best theatre books of 2013 and has been revised and updated several times subsequently.
