In Unsent Letters from Dad, a father writes heartfelt letters to his children, Nathaniel and Nicole, knowing he may not be around to guide them through adulthood. Drawing from his life experiences, he shares wisdom on success, resilience, and personal growth-offering lessons that will benefit them in the future, even if they don't fully grasp them now. The father introduces a simple but powerful framework for achieving success: DARE-dream, act (not react), reflect and improve, and exceed expectations. This formula propels success forward, but sustaining it requires more than just ambition. To help his children navigate life's complexities, he introduces the Five Pillars for Sustaining Success, which serve as guideposts for maintaining balance and long-term achievement. He explains that success can be fleeting, often involving sacrifice or risk, but with the right foundation, it can be sustained. Through these letters, he imparts the tools his children will need to pursue their goals and lead fulfilling lives.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Peter Tan was born in the year Singapore gained her independence and had to stand on her own feet, facing the world. Like the nation he calls home, Peter's path and learning journey has been shaped by resilience, adaptability, and growth through transformation. As Singapore evolved into the vibrant and modern country it is today, Peter's childhood, education, work experiences, and dreams also changed alongside it. He has embraced many roles throughout his life, including door-to-door salesperson, private tutor, stall helper, banquet waiter, construction site worker, shop assistant, kitchen porter, and assistant manager. Each experience has contributed to his understanding of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of lifelong learning. With a passion for photography, Peter freelances to capture magical moments and preserve precious memories at weddings, birthdays, concerts, and other special occasions. This creative pursuit has deepened his appreciation for life's fleeting yet meaningful moments and the stories that connect us all. Currently, Peter serves as a Senior Principal Radiographer in a busy healthcare institution and as a Senior Adjunct Lecturer, guiding radiography students. His work has given him countless opportunities to engage with people from all walks of life, drawing inspiration from their experiences and using those lessons to shape his work and writing. Peter's latest book, Unsent Letters, from Dad, is a labour of love-a heartfelt collection of reflections and life lessons. Written initially for his children but meant for anyone ready to navigate life's challenges, this project is Peter's way of passing on the wisdom he has gathered over the years. He hopes readers will find courage, resilience, and true purpose in their own journeys through life.
