God builds His church from those of all nations, tongues, and backgrounds, and His people are richest when they listen and learn of His grace through this mosaic.--Dr. Carey Latimore Each person comes with their own unique and difficult story of God's work in their life. Many of these stories get lost to the ages. A precious few are captured and shared like these examples of faith that have stood the tests of time and trial. Sharing stories that you may not have heard before, Dr. Carey Latimore leads you deep into the lives of key women and men from colonial America to the present--people such as Cyrus Bustill, Harriet Tubman, and Kanye West. Their stories are set in periods of grief, injustice, and intense social and economic division, which makes the hope-filled lessons they teach us today all the more miraculous. Through their legacy, we will learn the power of faith to sustain us through tremendous challenges, to lead us to forgive others and learn from our own mistakes, and to inspire us in building the kingdom of God.
