The focus of this study is the urban structure of Jataí-GO. To this end, its internal structure was analysed in terms of socio-spatial distribution in the urban arrangement, seeking answers to the question: is there socio-spatial segregation in Jataí? The aim was to unveil the city and propose new parameters that would collaborate with local development. The path followed in this work is not rigid, ready and finished; it is an analysis that starts from the urban landscape, since this presents a vast horizon to be explored, arriving at the place and analysing how it was produced. The research moves through political and social analyses, contextualised in a so-called 'post-modern' society, questioning and reflecting on the reality presented before our eyes, considering the action of capital and its relations in the construction of places. In this way, the dialectical perspective is presented as a guiding path for the work. In the end, we defined, classified, spatialised and cross-referenced information plans relating to income levels in Jataí and their implications for the urban fabric, demonstrating the urban segregation identified.
