The programme was presented by Tony Dortie, Anthea Turner and Jenny Powell. It is notable as the source of a clip - since often replayed on TV clipshows, health-and-safety instruction tapes and YouTube - of an incident in which Turner was set alight by a pyrotechnic display. The show used the name "UP2U" as it allowed viewers to submit suggestions for content and conduct votes to determine which content would be broadcast. The show was produced by BBC North West from Manchester.
